Read MoreBiergarden does have a large selection of San Diego brews on tap but I decided on Biergarden because of their brunch and FULL Bloody Mary menu! The bloody mary menu definitely steals the show! Not one, not two, not three, but FIVE bloody marys for your tasting and drinking pleasure. In a sea of tomato juice, vodka, and celery sticks, nothing makes your girl more excited than variety and individuality (that goes for my food and life in general).

Mom’s need to get brunchfaced once in a while too! There are sooooooo many places offering wonderful Mothers Day specials but I’ve narrowed down my list this time to a few places. For a HUGE list check out our friends at THERE San Diego’s list here.
Read MoreIn a sea of chilaquiles, breakfast burritos, and huevos rancheros, typical for Southern California brunch menus, Fort Oak is pushing the boundaries of what a brunch menu can be. Trust me there is nothing better than having a hangover, drinking a stiff bloody mary and devouring a giant breakfast burrito, but it is also nice to have a more refined and upscale brunch experience. When you try a new restaurant and get the experience of tasting something you’ve never experienced before; don’t us brunchers and day diners deserve the same experience?

Read MoreToast’s featured cocktail, Alfie’s Green Bloody is a spin on the savory and red morning libation that is the bloody mary. Made from tomatillos, this green goddess is mixed with gin, Alfie’s green bloody mix and garnished with a roasted jalapeño, shrimp, stuffed olive, and bacon with a smoked salt rim. There is a subtle spice and garlic rich flavor that melds with the smoky and salty notes of the rim, bringing out the best of the flavor. This bright, zesty, and uniquely refreshing cocktail will have even the traditional bloody mary haters coming back for more!
Read MoreTis the season! While we might be surfing and building sandmen on Christmas Day instead of sledding and building snowmen, the holiday spirit is still alive and well in San Diego. When I plan on brunchin and drinking I usually just grab an Uber but $30 roundtrip Ubers start to add up! So, a $5 day pass to ride the trolley to your hearts content can save you 6 times over! Whether your heading into mission valley or downtown from east county or living in the city and want to experience some east county eats, the trolley is the way to go!
Read MoreNorth Park Beer Co. is nestled in the heart of North Park. They leave no detail to the wayside. Basile Studios, who also designed hotspots Kindred and Polite Provisions, has turned this former boxing gym into a spectacular mid-century space where every detail has been intentionally thought out; from the logo tiles in the bathrooms, the custom street lamps, and the most gorgeous dark stone bar top. The beer at NPBC is equally thoughtful (and delicious,) and the creativity and pairings of flavor and beer by Justin Stoddard’s (associate tap-room manager) brew-tails are nothing short of a bloody mary beer-loving Christmas miracle!
Read MoreDo you love blue skies, unbelievable views and great food and drinks? Then look no further than the 14th-floor rooftop destination bar, The Nolen, for “The Sunday Requirement.” I require that you try this place out as soon as possible! When I walked off the elevator and turned the corner, my jaw dropped to the floor. I was blown away by the expansive views and tall ceilings, as were the other members of my monthly Bloody Mary Meetup Group
Read MoreHave you ever tried something so fresh and tasty that you leave the restaurant feeling energized and refreshed? That’s how I feel every time I leave True Food Kitchen, located at Fashion Valley Mall, a fabulous open-air mall. So, naturally, I’ve stopped in True Food on several occasions with friends and my husband. I wasn’t aware they had brunch, so when I saw their sign outside advertising brunch, I was thrilled!
Read MoreLucky for me, the Market Mary was unavailable because the garnish would’ve been a distraction from the palatable bloody mary mix. Keeping with their craft cocktail theme, the mix is made in-house and fresh! The Bloody was fierce and citrusy from the olive brine and fresh lemon juice, instantly raising my blood pressure.
Read MoreTo complement the Demitri's, Duke's La Jolla uses St. George's Green Chili Vodka. St. George's contains serranos and bell peppers, layered with notes lime and cilantro, a true California palette. St. George's brings the depth of this bloody mary flavor to the next level. The bloody is sweet and savory with a final pop of heat from the vodka, that leaves you wanting more. It is not difficult to drink the entire bloody in just a few minutes.
Read MoreThe Barn Yard Mary comes with multiple skewers of roasted seasonal veggies (zucchini, peppers, stuffed mushroom caps), tomato and mozzarella, pickled veggies (pepperoncini, olives, and onions) bacon wrapped shrimp, Mexican street corn (my favorite part), sage fennel sausage, and oh, a WHOLE ROASTED CHICKEN! Not just some dried out chicken, a juicy, moist, and succulent bird. It comes complete with a BBQ drizzle over everything!
Read MoreThe Tower23 bloody mary had a stunning presentation; glistening in the sunbeams on the oceanfront patio, It was almost too pretty to drink! JRDN infuses their vodka with jalapeños and cilantro. I personally love cilantro, it gives meals and drinks such a refreshing and floral taste, in the best way possible. The mix is made in-house with a mild flavor but has that last second kick from the jalapeño infusion and spices. The jalapeños gave the bloody a perfect amount of heat, making it drinkable for lovers of all spice-levels.
