Brunchfaced: Padres Opening Weekend Brunch Guide!
Finally,......it’s going to be a warm, sunny, and gorgeous weekend again in San Diego!!! It felt like this cold weather had no end in sight this year! Not to mention its opening weekend for baseball!!!! So, whether your headed to the game or looking for a patio to soak up some sunshine and get brunchfaced, here are my picks for Padres opening weekend!
Padres Game
Petco Park is the place to be this weekend with the addition of the $300 million-dollar player Manny Machado, a four-game face off between division rivals, the San Francisco Giants, and gorgeous weather! There’s nothing more that my husband and I love more than baseball and I’ll personally be there on Sunday! The food and beer selections at Petco Park are off the chain, with dozens of local craft breweries represented and local foodie favorites such as Buona Forchetta, Hodad‘s and Lucha Libre, there is something for everyone. I love getting the giant michelada everytime!
Sbicca Del Mar
For a more low-key and peaceful kind of bruncfaced day, away from the commotion of opening weekend, head to Sbicca Del Mar. Sit on the shaded patio taking in ocean views and the calm bustle of charming downtown Del Mar as you nosh on fluffy and savory omelets, jam filled popovers, and blueberry topped waffles. The house-made bloody mary with vegetable and meat garnish or specialty $5 mimosas will get you in full rest and relaxation mode. I love to take a stroll down to the beach after brunching at Sbicca.
Nolen Rooftop
Now that the baseball, sunshine, and warm weather are back, there isn’t a better place to get closer to the action then the 14th floor destination bar, The Nolen Rooftop. The Nolen has stunning panoramic views of Petco park, Coronado Bridge, and downtown San Diego. The Sunday Requirement, has a diverse menu of four bloody marys with unique spins on the traditional bloody mary…Penelope and Sunday Morning Remedy are my favorites….some of the best in SD! A smaller brunch menu won’t have you overwhelmed with options and is thoughtful and delicious!
