Some like it savory, some like it sweet, and some love it all! I prefer savory but I’m always game for a pop of sweet here and there, and a well-balanced bloody mary typically has a bit of both. That’s where my inspiration came for the Pineapple and Bacon Infused Vodka Bloody Mary Recipe.
For sweet and savory bloody mary lovers
I designed this Pineapple and Bacon Infused Vodka Bloody Mary Recipe with the savory and sweet lovers in mind. The vodka is infused with both the pineapple and bacon for a harmonious and flavorful recipe that you and your friends and family will love.
How do you infuse the vodka?
Infusing vodka is a really easy way to add flavor and dimension to any cocktail, and you can use the leftover infused vodka in many other cocktail recipes! I infused the pineapple and bacon vodkas separately, as I didn’t have time to test infusing them together, and I’d suggest you do the same!
To infuse the vodka is really quite simple. All you have to do is fill a jar with vodka. Add whatever fruit, meat, or herbs you want into the container. Make sure that the vodka covers all the ingredients you are infusing and close the jar with an airtight seal. It’s important to have an airtight seal so nothing goes bad.
You can flash infused and only wait a few hours, but for the best results, infused for several days, and store in a cool dark place. When ready to serve, strain the vodka from the pineapple and bacon into another airtight container.
What kind of vodka should I use to infuse?
Vodka is a vital component of a well-balanced bloody mary and the main component of this Pineapple and Bacon Infused Vodka Bloody Mary Recipe. Bloody marys are designed to alleviate your hangover and nourish you back to life, so you can’t just mix it with any ole vodka. A quality vodka is essential for a smooth bloody mary that makes you feel better, not worse. Additionally, when infusing vodka, it’s important that the vodka is of the highest quality to yield the best flavor for the recipe.
That’s why I chose PAU Maui Vodka once again. Masterfully hand-crafted in up-country Maui, PAU Maui is distilled from pineapples and natural Hawaiian spring water. High-quality, award-winning vodka is always the perfect choice to craft any bloody mary or cocktail recipe. Versatile and unique, the infusions came out beautifully for a well-balanced, sweet, and savory bloody mary recipe!
What kind of bloody mary mix should I use?
For the bloody mary, I suggest using a mix that is relatively mild so the infusions can really shine through. Or, if you’re not like me and have an endless amount of bloody mary mix in your closet, try making your own mix by following a classic and simple bloody mary recipe.
Like anything spectacular in life, the vodka infusions take time, so plan at least 10 days ahead for this recipe to let the vodka infusions truly work. Some people even suggest 2-3 weeks, but I stuck with a 7-10 day timeframe.
