Do you like to try new things? I am always up for trying something new, especially when it’s a bloody mary mix that has briney in the title! I personally love any bloody mary that has brine whether that be olive or pickle and Briney Mary was everything I hoped for and more!

Let’s Take it Back

Back in 2014, three brothers from Pittsburgh came together and established Pittsburgh Pickle Co. The brothers have strived to produce quality pickles, and now a bloody mary mix that not only tastes amazing but captures the spirit of Pittsburgh.

“Our pickles are a product of hard work, years of recipe perfection, and brotherly love. As brothers, we knew we always wanted to work together, but never guessed it would be while making pickles. We started making all-natural pickles in the back of our bar and before long, realized people loved what we made. It wasn't overnight though, it took some tweaking, and maybe even a few brotherly wrestling matches - but today, we're very proud of our pickles.”

As a former 4 year resident of Pittsburgh, I can attest to Briney Mary delivering on their mission to capture the spirit of the city. The bloody mary mix serves as a metaphor for the transformation of the former Steel City to one of the most “green” cities in America, hear me out……

Pittsburgh, a city that once was the steel capital of the world, was a city in total darkness. Soot and pollution from the steel mills filled the air, blanketing the sky even during the day. Fast forward to the present day and, “Pittsburgh has undergone one of the most dramatic environmental transformations in American history, and now has more green square footage than any other city.”*1

Although the city has transformed, the grit of the hard-working people has never left. When I sipped Briney Mary for the first time, I tasted that very grit in the spices and craftsmanship of the mix and I was reminded of my time living in Pittsburgh. Much like the transformation of Pittsburgh, Briney Mary will rejuvenate you after a long night or give you some extra pizazz lacking in a lot of sub-par bloody mary mixes.
