With a blink of the eye, another year has come and gone! On New Year’s Eve, we say goodbye to the last year and look forward to the new year. On New Year’s Day.... we brunch! It’s National Hangover Day (and national Bloody Mary day) because we drank too much champagne and stayed up too late the night before.
I created the National Hangover Day Bloody Mary Recipe because we all need one more day to hold onto our bad behaviors before we are ready to fulfill our New Year’s resolution! Oh, and there might be that aching headache too!
This Hangover Bloody Mary recipe can cure hangovers not only on New Year’s Day but any day of the year! The breakfast burger garnish coupled with the bloody mary will surely be the trick to bring you back to life.... because you’ve got a new year, new you to get to!
For this National Hangover Day Bloody Mary Recipe, I used Cocktail Artist Premium Bloody Mary Mix. Not only did I use it for the bloody mary, but I also put some in the breakfast burger for the ultimate tag team! The thicker consistency replaced the normal Worcestershire sauce that I put in my burgers and added extra spice and moistness to the burger. Oh, and did I mention this is a half-pound burger #HangoverBeGone
For the Breakfast burger, you can use beef or turkey and top it with any cheese. I also topped the burger with a buttery egg, cheese, jalapeños, your standard lettuce tomato and onion, and some horseradish mayonnaise.
You can purchase Cocktail Artist at your local Walmart or by clicking the link below and purchasing through Amazon!
Ingredients:
Breakfast Burger
1/2 lb. of ground turkey or beef
1 tbsp. Cocktail Artist Bloody Mary Mix
1 tsp Lawry’s Seasoning
1 tsp Garlic and herb seasoning
1 Slice of cheese
1 Buttery Fried Egg (1 sliver of butter melted in the pan)
Sautéed slices of jalapeño
1 tsp Horseradish mayo
Lettuce
Tomato Slice
Red Onion
1 Wheat bun
Hangover Bloody Mary
6 oz Cocktail Artist Premium Bloody Mary Mix
2 oz Vodka of choice
Directions:
Breakfast Burger
In a bowl combine ground beef, Lawry’s, garlic and herb seasoning, and a tablespoon of Cocktail Artist Premium Bloody Mary Mix. Mix ingredients and form a burger. Heat a frying pan or a grill and place burger on, cook to desired doneness (turkey burgers cook all the way). When the burger is almost done, place a slice of cheese on top to melt.
In a separate frying pan, heat, add butter and melt. Once the pan is coated in the butter cook your egg to the desired doneness. Add jalapeños to the pan to lightly sauté. Place the egg and jalapenos on top of the burger.
Grab a plate and layer lettuce, tomato, and onion on your bun. Use the spread on both ends of the bun. Finally, place your finished burger on your bun. Serve with and garnish your Bloody Mary with the breakfast burger immediately.
Hangover Bloody Mary
Fill a glass with ice. Pour vodka and Cocktail Artist Premium Bloody Mary Mix into your glass and stir. Garnish your hangover bloody mary with the breakfast burger and your hangover will soon be last year’s news!
