Rise and Shine Restaurant Group has done it again! Another breakfast location that already has locals and tourists crowding and waiting for breakfast on the weekends in a location where its previous tenants have failed to drive business. With over 15 locations of their various breakfast concepts (with more on the way), Rise and Shine have proven that breakfast IS the most important meal of the day.

Rise and Shine’s latest opening, Gaslamp Breakfast Company is a part of their Breakfast Company concept with the original location in North Park. Open for breakfast 7 days a week, Gaslamp Breakfast Company, like North Park is bringing its own unpretentious quirky flare and inventive breakfast dishes to the Gaslamp.

Savory, sweet, vegan, healthy, there is something for everyone on the Gaslamp Breakfast Company’s menu. For those with a sweet tooth, revel in the goodness that is Churro French Toast with house-made buttermilk ice cream, cinnamon sugar, and cajeta, or completely lose all your inhibitions with the luxe Tiramisu Pancakes made with espresso syrup, mascarpone sabayon, and ladyfinger crumble.

If you’re like me and love the savory dishes you must try the Fried Rice Benedict! The way the samba hollandaise sauce and pickled radish salad melded together with the eggs and rice was like heaven on a plate, it still remains my favorite dish on their menu! Shrimp Enmoladas and the Chicken Confit and Grits are top-notch savory dishes that will keep you coming back for more and more.

Gaslamp Breakfast Company offers Vegan Benedicts and Vegan Breakfast Sammies along with a Seven Grain Bowl. Surprise, the bloody mary is also vegan! The mixologist substitutes balsamic vinegar for the Worcestershire sauce because vegans get hungover too!

Patrons will be thrilled to know their Gaslamp location has the same fabulous craft breakfast cocktails! Simple, incredibly fresh, and delicious, all the juices are fresh-squeezed and made to order coming in under $10.00…. such a steal!

Gaslamp Breakfast Company did a great job with the space and decor. Tall ceilings give the space a ton of natural light and the mix between industrial and boho-chic makes the atmosphere feel new but comfortable. The hard lines are softened by the bright pops of color in the furniture and a beautiful and colorful mural on the back wall ties it all together.

Another success out the gate, Rise and Shine Restaurant Group shows no signs of slowing down. I think it’s clear that the people of Southern California don’t want them too! With every opening, they are proving, breakfast IS the most important meal of the day!
