California; the Republic of Breakfast. Well, that’s what it should be called because Breakfast Republic is literally everywhere! Move over grizzly bear, Benedict’s, pancakes, and French toast are taking over. With what seems like a new location popping up every week, Breakfast Republic now has 9 locations, with a 10th in Costa Mesa coming soon!
The latest location of Breakfast Republic in Mission Valley makes it a perfect spot for shoppers to grab breakfast before hitting the mall or an early afternoon breakfast after a morning of shopping till you drop! I myself, may have “accidentally” wandered across the street to Nordstrom Rack after finishing my breakfast. #mimosasmademedoit
Owner of Rise & Shine Restaurant Group Johan Engham continues to fill the need for viable and tasty breakfast options in San Diego, so Mission Valley was a natural fit for their next location.

As in all locations, you’ll find the same sense of humor in every corner of the restaurant, from the infamous “run cock run” on the green wall, to a dissertation on how drunk texting your ex is inexcusable and the staff sporting, “this is my resting brunch face” t-shirts. I appreciate the silly yet sometimes naughty humor!
The same clucking good Breakfast Republic classics like the famous pancake flights (must include Oreo cookie pancake in the flight), delectable French toast options, and eclectic, yet delicious playing fare dishes are available for you to devour. I recently had the breakfast Mac and cheese and steak and eggs and OMGEEE, so good! Currently, you can find a strawberry rhubarb waffle, vegan chorizo fried rice Benedict and a bright and bubbly watermelon mimosa on special!
Making my list for best bloody marys in San Diego, 2 years in a row, the Jurassic Pork Bloody Mary continues to lead the charge in curing hangovers and softening the sting of the previous night’s poor decisions! However, if bloody marys aren’t your thing (weird) grab a hard kombucha or an adaptogenic antioxidant shot to help revitalize and recharge. If you’re planning to hit the shops grab one of their amazing specialty lattes to go, because nothing goes better together like retail therapy and a great coffee.
