Liberty Station in San Diego has so many amazing restaurants, shops, and the bustling Liberty Public Market! With so many choices it can be hard to choose where to dine! Lucky for me my decision was premeditated so no need to wonder the long halls filled with the aroma of bread baking, rich history, and art galleries (sounds so horrible right).

Fig Tree Cafe is a super cute breakfast and brunch spot with a few locations around San Diego. So naturally, when we showed up it was packed with patrons and people willing to wait for a table. Willing to wait for great service, yummy food, and the most perfectly garnished bloody mary.

If you’re feeling sleepy Fig Tree’s bloody mary has just the remedy for you! It is a zesty, tangy, and acidic bloody that will definitely eradicate any sleepy senses you may have. #wakeyoself. The texture is thin and light, perfect for those warm days under the fig trees. Jalapeño infused vodka makes this bloody a little spicy, just enough to comfortably warm your insides. The best part about this bloody is the garnish. Classic garnish such as celery, olives, and cucumber are seasoned with some sort of delicious spice, which I now am regretting not asking what it was so I could use it at home! The bacon is cooked to perfection: juicy, thick and not overcooked nor undercooked, my husband was all over that! Lastly, the grilled shrimp is divine. Cilantro and lime seasoning is one of my favorite flavor combinations!

Fig Tree Cafe is definitely a brunch favorite among San Diego locals. The food is great (try their breakfast burritos, omelets or their amazing french toast), service on point and a bloody that has some great garnish!
