Three Places You Should Sunday OR Saturday Funday In San Diego Right Now

Three places you should Sunday OR Saturday Funday in San Diego right now

Sunday Funday is becoming more than just a trend in San Diego. With endless sunshine, beach bars, and a spectacular brunch scene, it’s hard not to be beckoned to the shores and sunshine. Bars and restaurants in San Diego are becoming a more immersive and interactive experience. With live music, dancing, multiple TV’s and all sorts of outdoor activities and games, Sunday Funday has gone to a whole other level. Whether you're headed out with friends or looking for some adult fun with your kids in tote, here are the three places you should check out for Sunday - OR- Saturday Funday in San Diego right now.

Pardon My French Bar + Kitchen

Two things I love are brunch and music. You get the best of both worlds at Pardon My French. Every Sunday a live DJ is spinning tracks that make you dance in your seat and sing along after a few cocktails. A few cocktails aren't hard to do when bottomless mimosas are only $16.00! If Rosé All Day is your thing then head in on Saturday for bottomless Rosé specials and DJ’s from all over the city!

When you enter Pardon My French, a sign reads “brunch at your own risk.” It's not uncommon to risk the unexpected at Pardon My French as the music continues to pump through the walls and the drinks keep flowing. What you CAN expect is amazing food and a fun-ass time! The intimate setting brings you closer to your fellow brunchers and allows you to join in the fun together! You’ll find the owner, Eric Frillion, not posted up at the bar, but working his ass off slinging cocktails

Mavericks Beach Club

The newest and biggest hotspot in PB is officially open and taking over the ENTIRE weekend. Mavericks welcomes you to “Come celebrate California to its fullest". The 15,000 square foot compound rocks from day to the wee hours of the morning with 5 bars, an extraordinary number of TV's for sports, lawn games, live music and a dance club.

Weekend brunch includes a breakfast buffet with a live DJ, and if you’re in it for the long-haul, then you can sing the night away to Backstreet Boys with 800 people in the dance club. Wake up on Sunday and find a more laid-back atmosphere of recovering souls, but make no mistake, the party lives on at Mavericks.

You can order a 6 pack of beer that comes in a special Maverick’s cooler around the complex. Your beers stay cold whether you’re upstairs watching sports, cozied by the giant fireplace, or playing corn hole on the lower terrace. Mavericks truly is a San Diego mecca of fun! The fact that Mavericks in only a block from the beach, I can see it as a long-time staple in the Pacific Beach community.

Park 101

Park 101 in Carlsbad is the North County scaled down, less rowdy version of Mavericks Beach Club. Park 101 invites you to enjoy smoke (the food) and recreation. Equipped with lawn games, delicious cocktails, and multi-levels, it’s Sunday Funday for the whole family! Just because someday we “grow-up” and have a family doesn’t mean we don’t still like to have a good time! The kids can play with the life-sized Connect Four as you sip away on the tasty cocktails and a great beer selection at the communal picnic tables, in the garden pub. Park 101 is also pet friendly because our furry friends are part of the family too! However, if kids aren’t your thing, they have an upstairs oasis; the tamarack view deck has with huge comfy couches, fire pits and an awesome view, unofficially for adults only.

Park 101 is known for their smoke bbq cuisine and on Sundays. The food line turns into a breakfast buffet! If you’re on the go, the Deli and Dough serves up coffee, toast and sweet treats for you and your little ones. There is truly something for the whole community; which is what Park 101’s mission has been from the start.

So there you have it! Three hopping spots where you should Sunday or Saturday Funday around San Diego right now. Whether your flying solo, with a group of friends, or have the whole family in tote, there's a place for everyone!
