Brunchfaced: Saint Patrick's Day Weekend Brunch Guide

One of my absolute favorite holidays is upon us!!! St. Patrick’s Day. Not only do I love to celebrate my Irish heritage, but St. Patrick’s Day has been one of the most fun days with the best memories in my whole life! I’ve experienced St. Patty’s in two of the biggest national celebrations in Southie (Boston) and Pittsburgh, PA. I have also celebrated my bachelorette party in Newport, Rhode Island over St. Patrick’s Day weekend which might be top days of my life! However, I’m super stoked about this weekend and to be celebrating here in San Diego!! For Saturday, I only have one plan and that’s to attend the shamROCK block party in the Gaslamp District!! I’ll definitely be needing a stiff bloody mary and some brunch on Sunday morning, so here’s where to party on Saturday and get brunchfaced on Sunday!

shamROCK – Gaslamp Quarter

Feeling GREEN!?!?!? Who wants to join me for San Diego’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day event, SD shamROCK, hosted by SD Block Parties?!? ShamROCK, the St. Paddy’s Day Block Party in the Gaslamp is happening on Saturday March 16th for the 25th year in a row where you’ll find Irish steppers, 3 stages of non-stop music, DJ’s and the all new shamROCK Shenanigans Street for St. Paddy’s Day themed games! 25 participating bars and restaurants will offer no cover with food and drink specials for a wee good time!! The best part is shamROCK benefits the Gaslamp Historical Foundation! Green beer, Irish Whiskey, Celtic Culture; I can’t wait to shake my shamrock!

Breakfast Republic – 8 Locations

Have an eggcelent recovery from Saturday at one of Breakfast Republic’s 8 locations. Start your morning out stiff with a Luck of the Irish Latte, with Bailey’s Irish Cream and whiskey, topped with mocha and mint…gosh does that remind me of growing up in Boston! If Irish coffee isn’t your thing than sip on the Kiss Me Kiwi Mimosa with kiwi, splash of orange juice, and sparkling, garnished with a slice of kiwi. I’ll be sending out a petition to have the Saint Patrick’s Day featured menu item; Leprechaun Mac & Cheese, made with shrimp, garlic, onion, asparagus, spinach, parmesan, with creamy pesto and 3 eggs, to be offered year-round! You also won’t be let down

The Corner Draft House – Banker’s Hill

We like to paddy, we like, we like to paddy! Paddy on over to Corner Draft House on Saturday or Sunday for a rocking green time! On Saturday and Sunday, the Corner Draft House will be offering corned beef tacos and corned beef sliders while supplies last! Not to mention Corner Draft House is at the epicenter of the 38th Saint Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival running from 9am-6pm! Corner Draft Houses’s brunch menu is phenomenal and there is also a whole bloody mary menu, so you’ll be feeling lucky you walked in to Corner Draft House!
