Brunchfaced: Where to Escape the Rain

Rain shmain. A little rain isn’t going to stop us from getting Brunchfaced this weekend in San Diego! Stiff morning cocktails, hot cups of coffee, and comforting warm dishes, brunch was made for this! Here are my top picks on where to get brunchfaced this weekend in San Diego:

North Park Beer Co - North Park

Escape from the rain and take in the gorgeous vaulted ceilings and copper brew kettles of North Park Beer Co. Not only does North Park beer Co have a award-winning beers, but they also team up with Mastiff Kitchen to bring you a hearty and beer complimentary brunch menu. Devour a pork belly Benedict with one of Justin Stoddard’s imaginative brew-tails (brunch cocktail inspired beer flights) and you’ll be “singing in the rain.” Call me biased but my favorite is the Bloody Covi. For more detail about their brunch and brew-tails read this.

Royale! - Ocean Beach

The family-owned diner and neighborhood eatery, Royale! in Ocean Beach is the perfect cozy and hip spot to escape the rain this weekend and get brunchfaced. Seasonal breakfast tots seasoned to perfection, the veggie breakfast sandwich, or a juicy breakfast Royale, will fill your tummies and warm your heart. Wash your brunch down with a tall glass of bubbly bloody indulgence that is the Royale Bloody Mary spiked with an Irish porter. The other simplistically named, locally crafted libations, will make you forget about the weather outside and have you hanging at this neighborhood bar all day and night. Read this.

Searsucker Old Skool Hip Hop Notorious B.R.U.N.C.H. - Gaslamp

“By popular demand, Searsucker's back with a brand new edition...of the infamous Old Skool Hip Hop Brunch! This Saturday, get ready to get off your seat and brunch around! Kick it old skool with the best throwback hip hop beats, Gaslamp's favorite brunch menu, plus themed cocktails like "Gin & Juice," "Bust a Lime," "What a Man-Mosa" and so much more. This is sicka than your average brunch, so don't forget to cop a reservation.” OH - and if the s’mores donuts and jalapeño infused bloody marys are available, you better check yo self before you wreck yo self.
