619 Spirits in North Park is particularly known for their lineup of craft vodkas. Consistently winning awards, 619 Vodka was just named the “Best Craft Vodka Distillery in the Country,” by USA Today! While all that Is amazing, and I’m super pumped for a local distillery to take home that award, I am here to tell you about their incredibly delicious brunch and massive bloody mary at their distillery in North Park!

Situated just off of University Ave in North Park, a hidden gem lies in 619 Spirits. Open for brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM, if you haven’t had a chance to check out 619 Spirits for brunch and bloody marys yet, I’m about to tell you exactly why you should.

Delicious Brunch

I didn’t know what to expect for food options at 619 Spirits because it is first and foremost a distillery. I was very impressed with the variety of dishes and how incredibly delicious they all were. I did brunch at 619 Spirits with my best girlfriends Terri and Krystal and they too were impressed with the food and cocktails!

I ordered the Bahn Mi Burger because I was really in the mood for a burger, and the ingredients sounded like the perfect combo for what I was craving. The Bahn Mi Burger delivers on expectations and flavor 10-fold. Juicy and served on the softest bun, the Bahn Mi Burger is made with soy sauce, scallions, cilantro, hot truffle aioli, pickled cucumber, daikon, carrots, and red dragon cheddar this burger will make anyone’s mouth water.

My girlfriends ordered the Avocado Toast and the Chilaquiles. 619 Spirits Avocado Toast might be one of the prettiest toasts I’ve ever photographed. Served on a thick piece of sourdough, the smashed avocado is topped with an over-easy egg, pickled onions, and colorful micro-greens. The chilaquiles are smothered in a delicious cheese and sauce combo, which already makes them a step above the boring and dry chilaquiles you can expect to find at most brunch spots.

Massive Bloody Mary

If all that food wasn’t enough to get you #BrunchFaced you can’t brunch at 619 Spirits without having their massive Bloody Mary Jar! Served in a 32oz mason jar, 619 Spirits is not messing around with their bloody mary! You can order the bloody mary jar with any kind of 619 Spirits Vodka, so I decided to go with their pickle vodka. A perfect complement to the bloody mary mix, the pickle vodka is a collaboration 619 did with my other local favorites and friends, Fav’s Pickles! Try it, you won’t regret it!

Pro tip: because it is so much bloody mary, I recommend going for a 5-7 spice level maximum, unless you really love a whole lot of spice! Not only do you get to choose your own vodka and spice level, 619’s house-made mix is perfectly balanced with spice, sweetness, and richness. Just enough zing to keep you on your toes, the 619 Spirits Bloody Mary Jar is the perfect solution to any hangover, or the great start to a super fun Sunday Funday!
